Copy Cat Bucca di Beppo Meatballs

I love spaghetti and meatballs! Like crazy Love it! Sometimes I could eat it everyday. One of our favorite places to go is Bucca di Beppo’s. If you haven’t been there let me tell you all about it. It is the tackiest Long Island Italian living room you could possibly imagine. {I actually saw some that were tackier when we lived there} Think Goodfella’s meet the Vatican.

It’s all done in fun and exciting ways as you weave your way from over decorated room to room. Then you are seated and are faced with a menu that has more items than you could ever imagine. Each serving is designed to feed 6-8 people! Want something smaller, well too bad. Small still feeds 3-4.

This is where you need to go when you have a crowd to feed and a group of people that you love spending time with. This is not a pop in and out kind of restaurant. You will need to wear your stretchy pants!

For a meal that serves 6-8 people how big do you think each meatball has to be? Well according to our waiter it is 1/2 pound.

Yes you read that right each Meatball is 1/2 Pound!!! I am not sure that you can really get a feel of the massive size of these guys from these photos, but they are HUGE!!!

They taste amazing and I am so excited to share them with you. I could never whittle out any info from our waiters to know really what the recipe is. I had to rely on my palate and memory.

I am pretty proud to say that I NAILED IT!!! I used a mixture of ground beef, ground italian sausage, bread crumbs and spices.
