Olive Cheesy Garlic Bread

Sometimes a side dish can become a main dish.  This Olive Cheesy Garlic Bread is filling enough to eat on it’s own or cut in smaller pieces makes a great addition to any meal.

Garlic bread is so versatile you can top it with so many different ingredients.  With this version you pile on the cheese and olives till it won’t hold anymore. I love the tang of the olive brine paired with the creaminess of the cheese.  This is so quick to make you are going to want to make it all the time!

Ingredients

  • The amounts you use will depend on the size of your bread and how cheesy or olivey you want this to be
  • 1 loaf store bought french bread
  • butter
  • ready to use garlic spread {found in a jar in the produce section}
  • cheddar cheese
  • green olives
  • black olives
  • mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 350
  2. slice loaf in half lengthwise
  3. butter both open faces
  4. spread the garlic over the butter
  5. pile on cheddar cheese
  6. layer green then black olives
  7. sprinkle on a little mozzarella
  8. bake for 20 min
  9. serve hot
